Designed with an inner surround and inset panels of light emperador marble, this roman travertine fireplace surrounds the living room side of a see-through fireplace.

Walter S. Arnold works with various American limestones, as well as European limestone and marble. He uses only real, natural stone, and he personally selects the blocks. Mr. Arnold's fireplaces can not be compared with mass-produced factory fireplaces, many of which are made of "cast stone"—a type of cast cement that can be produced in large, one-size-fits-all quantities.
