For thousands of years sculpture and carved stone signage have served to give identity and image to a building. I continue this tradition, using hammer and chisel to carve custom signs and address stones.
Housing development entry sign
This carved sign greets residents and guests at the entry of an exclusive residential development.

Relief panel at the entrance of the Loyola Academy, Wilmette, IL. It contains their logo with two wolves on the shield, a hand tooled background and raised lettering.

Harold Washington
A Monument to Mayor Harold Washington greets visitors to the lobby of the Washington Social Security Center, 600 W. Madison St., Chicago.
griffin plaque
This griffin wall plaque measures 8" x 12". Carved in Spanish limestone, It was a Christmas present, commissioned by a client who found me on the web.
rabbits
These rabbits adorn a brick wall surrounding a Tudor mansion.
horn of plenty
Sections of a 12 foot wide pediment with a basket of fruit and flowers, for the entry to a private residence. This photo was taken in my studio while the carving was in progress.
classical address stone

Address stone with classical detailing. This will go in the middle of an ornate carved cornice.

In addition to the sculptural work depicted, I have carved inscriptions, corner stones, and signage on many buildings, including the Crown Space Center at the Museum of Science and Industry, the Motorola Museum of Electronics, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Terra Museum of American Art, and the Chicago Tribune Tower.
